Shower Curtain Hanger (2 Ways)

As promised, here's a super quick, super easy diy to kick things off: My fiance and I just recently moved out of our first apartment a couple weeks ago (we're staying with my future MIL while we save up the down deposit for a home of our own.) Our old, plastic shower curtain, along with quite a few other "this only needs to get us through a year" crappy, plastic essentials, got the boot. But, I saved the little plastic rings the curtain came with and managed to reuse a piece of would be garbage.

Supplies:
1)Plastic shower curtain rings (available at Walmart and probably any drugstore or dollar store.)
2) A nail in the wall to hang your creation. (Yup, that's literally all you need.)

Directions:
Take your set of rings and, one at a time, begin linking them together like a chain. Be sure to link them so that the opening faces the opposite direction each time (otherwise when you hang things on it you will have too much weight on one side and the hanger will fall.)

Do not close the rings, leave them open so that you can hook your hats/headbands/belts/purses/scarves or whatever else onto them. Hang it on the wall and that's it! Simple right?
I found a similar idea on theeasydiy's Youtube channel, in which you simply hook the rings onto a regular hanger and clip them closed. This provides a ring on which you could hang scarves or belts and definitely save yourself some closet space.

Intros and Such

Hi :) I'm Cass. Welcome to this new blogging/experimenting/diy project of mine. I call it a project because, well, that's what I do. I've always got some project or another going at any given time. Whether it be in the kitchen playing with a new recipe, over my beloved pile of scraps working on my scrapbooks, in the bathroom testing new hair and makeup techniques/products, or searching the garage for just the right something to make something else just perfect. So, in combining my love of writing, or journaling at least, photography, diy, and my own jack of all trades (master of none) personality, I realized what my next little experiment ought to be. Blogging. Ta-da!
So, what is "How To Do Just About Anything?"

This is. ^ Some dusty, old book my grandparents used to own with an eye-catching title. But this (blog) is not that. Though they share the same name. (Is that legal... ???) No relation, is basically what I'm trying to say.
This, the blog that is, is probably going to end up being a lot more specific than that book. I mean I can't promise that I can teach you how to do anything, but I can teach you a lot of nifty/crafty/cool things that I pearsonally know how to do. That's right. I said "nifty." Deal with it.
So, if you want to hear it, I can tell you all about the projects I love, like:
  • My scrapbooks
  • My awesome pink leopard print manicure

  • How I turned plastic shower curtain rings into a hanger for my hats and hairbands

  • Valentines day/date night decor, and gifts
  • How to fold an origami star
  • How to stack coupons with sales and ad matching
  • Or how to tie dye cupcakes
Or pretty much any other miscellaneous thing I'm currently working on. Sooo... no unlike Reader's Digest, I cannot teach you to do anything, (and honestly I have to question the validity of the claim that that book is making) but I can teach you to do some really fun, artsy, reuse/reduce/recycle kind of stuff.
I'll post a few things to kick this off, leave me a comment or send me a message and tell me what you want to see more of and what you want to know how to do. :)
